How to choose: SY-1231 vs 4096 vs 8640
Match by application: hospital/school/cabinet → 1231; edge half-width 1U stamp+OCXO+hardware time I/O → 4096; plant multi-port / dual supply → 8640.

Choose SY-1231 when hospital weak-current, school campus (network room / teaching cabinet / exam and one-card), industrial cabinets, or security need cabinet NTP—BeiDou+GPS, TCXO, Modbus / 1PPS / PULSE with a deliverable datasheet. This SKU has no IRIG and no OCXO.
Look to SY-4096 for factory/campus/BA edge cabinets needing half-width 1U hardware-stamped NTP, OCXO holdover, and hardware time outputs (1PPS / IRIG-B / programmable pulse).
Look to SY-8640 for power/metals plants needing separated mgmt/timing ports, multi-gigabit, dual supply, or higher capacity.
4096 datasheet v1.1 / website copy are aligned (do not publish unmeasured req/s before gate); until the 8640 shipping datasheet is published, treat it as planned direction only; 4096 does not replace the 8640 multi-port flagship.
